Welcome to the Newest Ninjanimals Kid – WOLFIE

by Rachel on December 31, 2010

I would like to welcome the newest Ninjanimals Kid, the 24th N-Kidz character, and the 12th boy character in the line-up.

Please meet Wolfie, the boy wolf.

Wolfie has been a few months in the works. First, as one of the boys in Cooper’s class who will be introduced in the upcoming story “Run Your Own Race”. He’s one of the group of little kids I had imagined playing of the school playground when Coug ran by. Plus I have been imagining a Little Kidz rock band for years. Recently, I started dreaming about more little boys in the band.

I hadn’t taken action on these new characters until Hatem mentioned how he had been thinking that it would be so cute if Lucas had a little brother. Bingo! This was the final push to put these little guys – these ‘little toughies’ – into development for me.

I knew Coug had a little brother, and Hatem had created little Cooper a few months ago. Cooper was shown lying in bed with his father reading to him. Then I thought Wolfinna should have a little brother too. But I didn’t know who the third little guy would be – basically a toss up between a lion, a rabbit, or even a panda. Then, out of the blue, Hatem mentioned a Little Lucas. And that was the final motivation for me. So I requested that Cooper be joined in the 10th story with two more buddies – Wolfie and Little Leo.

After Hatem finalized the three newest characters on the playground – including their model sheets – I realized that Wolfie should become the final Ninjanimals Kid. There had been twelve girls and eleven boys for the longest time, due to the twins, Tammie and Tamrie, expanding the Girl’s line-up. But I hadn’t really planned to add another boy character.

That is, until I saw Wolfie. After Hatem finished the sketch of the children on the playground, and created the model sheets, I just knew that Wolfie had to become one the N-Kidz and join the character gallery in Meet Kidz.

Now that I have added him to Meet, Animals, and Videos, I can’t believe I waited so long. The Galleries look so much better now that they are perfectly balanced and don’t have any more empty slots.

Welcome Wolfie!
