For awhile now I have been toying with the Ninjanimals Kidz Home Page. I have redesigned it quite a few times over these past two years. I always wanted it to bright and colorful and child-oriented. So I filled it with a bright and fast slideshow and large colorful buttons decorated with cute icons. Still, I always had this uneasy feeling that something was not quite right with it.

It was recently brought to my attention that this “large button” Home Page completely lacked focus. That the importance of my Stories is where the emphasis should be. And that anyone visiting my site wouldn’t really know what Ninjanimals Kidz was about. That it is the Stories which give life and dimension to the characters, and that most of the Bios, Word Games, and Coloring Pages are based on the stories.
So once again, I have redesigned the Home Page to place the focus on stories, and make the Read Stories section the central piece of everything. I’m happy to say, that for the first time I feel that the Home Page reflects what I want it to reflect.
Even though all the content and navigation are the same, the new central image shows what is to come though a sampling of colorful and dynamic illustrations.
The Stories Section is Now the Focus!
