Does This Make Me a Dummy?

by Rachel on June 6, 2010

I was looking at some photographs I had taken this past winter of my cat, Little Minnie, huddled on top of the Verizon cable box for warmth. Poor baby! She had jumped to the shelf below to show off and get some warmth from the vent which heats up this spot. I saw a lot of yellow. Bright yellow! A bunch of Dummies books I had amassed these past few years. So many hopeful, and hopefully informative books.

Dummies books.

An Array of Dummies Books

Such as “Branding for Dummies”, “Twitter for Dummies”, “Photoshop 7 for Dummies” etc.

There is only one problem with Dummies books. Just one little, bitty, teeny, weenie problem… You still have to read them!

I wish these Dummies people would come up with some sort of cheat sheet version of these topics.* Such as cut all unnecessary words and prose and make each chapter a bulleted list of action steps only. Or the Comic book version of these books. Anything, but having to read them!

So does this make me a Dummy?

*As if the Dummies concept isn’t wildly successful!

So glad to see Branding for Dummies on your book shelf. You’re right, now you just have to crack it open. But in the meantime, here’s a link to the Branding for Dummies Cheat Sheet, which truly takes only a few minutes to read:

For more at-a-glance info, also go to my website http://www.bizstrong.com and click “Branding” in the righthand column for book excerpts, advice etc. Or follow Bizstrong on Facebook.com/bizstrong and twitter.com/bizstrong
Here’s to your time, and your brand!
